Flying Dog University: Foeder-Aging Tours and Tastings
Aging beer in wood vessels can change the flavor, aroma, and appearance. Oak, foeders, spirals, wood blocks and barrels are all different ways that a beer can be aged. Learn about the unique tradition using a foeder and how we've utilized the technique to offer a delicious beer. Each student will sample our Orchard Ale, a partnership with Distillery Lane Ciderworks, and 2017 Orchard Ale aged in one of our foeders. Each guest also receives a crowler of one of the beers of their choice to take home.
